National Park Service Valley Forge National Historical Park

Valley Forge, Pennsylvania | 3,500 sq. ft.

Design Minds worked with National Park Service staff and project partners to design new exhibits for the Valley Forge visitor center. Exhibits leverage interpretive storytelling, dynamic environments, interactive exhibits, and custom murals to immerse visitors in the Revolutionary War and connect the events to their lives today. We designed exhibits that incorporate creative storytelling, interpretive questions, and facilitated dialogue to engage visitors on an emotional level and connect them with the soldiers who once occupied this encampment.

Throughout the exhibits, a series of interpretive panels connects the events of the story to places in the park. Near the end, a map blending the historic and modern landscapes prepares visitors for their exploration of the site, offering context for their visit.
