Pullman National Historical Park

Chicago, Illinois | 1,500 sq. ft.

For the creation of the new Pullman Visitor Center, The Design Minds worked closely with park staff, historians, and other subject matter experts to create exhibits that provide multiple viewpoints on the company, town, and 1894 strike. The exhibits feature tactile and interactive components throughout the space, with many focused on allowing young visitors to also examine the complex themes related to labor, class, and race. Scenic obstacles force visitors to stop and consider the working conditions, financial realities, and community controls associated with life in Pullman.
