The new core state history exhibit at the Oregon Historical Society draws from what has worked in the current gallery, including judicious reuse of cases and scenic elements. At the same time, we worked closely with key stakeholders in Oregon’s expansive story, alongside collections, archives, and subject matter experts, to craft an experience that resonates with every visitor’s perspective—giving voice especially to those Oregonians who have historically not found their story shared in the museum.
