Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge

Basom, New York | 2,400 sq. ft.

Imaginative exhibits designed for the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge visitor center reveal the natural interconnection of the western New York habitats. Design Minds carefully modeled—both physically and digitally—the gallery and the exhibits to determine how best to construct this multi-layered experience for the visitors.

The design employs floor-to-ceiling environmental graphics and a wide variety of interactives to engage visitors and provide learning opportunities for children. Historical and taxidermy artifacts, custom tactile objects, regional soundscapes, and aquariums featuring live animals are implemented to create this immersive approach.
