The Columbus Museum
History Gallery

Columbus, Ohio | 7,800 sq. ft.

The Columbus Museum is the cultural heart of the city of Columbus. Design Minds worked with the Columbus Museum to reimagine the museum’s history gallery. “Chattahoochee Rhythms” brings the stories of the Chattahoochee Valley to life. Exhibits interpret the history of the region through the lenses of Perseverance, Innovation, and Growth.

Fresh interpretation, graphics and images, and audiovisual components work together to give a voice to the Chattahoochee Valley’s many inhabitants. The Chattahoochee River stars in the design as a visual theme that runs through and unites the different exhibit spaces. Other elements like brick textures and building shapes are inspired by the city. Interactives and tactile elements add engagement for visitors of all ages.
