THIS HIGHLY INTERACTIVE exhibit is designed to engage visitors in a series of participatory activities stressing public service and involvement in the political process. One of the most exciting parts of the museum is a series of interactive "decision stations" that will engage students and adults alike in important historical events such as Watergate and the Iran-Contra hearings. A pinball-like machine allows visitors to guide a bill through the checks and balances of our federal system. Flip doors invite children and adults to test their knowledge of the State of Tennessee and its politics. Period podiums give visitors the chance to feel like candidates for office while learning about the issues of the day. Senator Baker's photography provides a unique perspective on a career in public service. The interpretive approach invites the audience to think of public service in a personal, engaging light.
